HURRAH! I know where I'm going to college! There has been much rejoicing over the fact that I will be attending Kenyon College this fall.
I had the most wonderful of visits this past week - I found good study places around campus, watched/listened to an a capella rehearsal, talked with Bible Study kids and field hockey girls, took two classes with an AMAZING English professor, found my way around the campus (this is big for someone as directionally challenged as myself), and well, let's put it this way - by dinnertime on the first day, I knew I was meant to go to Kenyon.
Needless to say, I'm on Cloud Nine about all this. Praise God for giving me the signs I needed!
On a slightly different subject, the projects ard papers are piling up more than ever before now. This whole year has been the hardest one of high school, and not because of senioritis. I honestly believe that it shouldn't be this hard - not just because we're seniors, but because it's just hard to BREATHE with all the work we're expected to do. How can I study for four APs when I have a research paper, a painting, a Physics project, a Euro review project, and soccer games three or four times a week? Not to mention youth group, church, and a babysitting job every couple of weeks.
It's always our class that goes through all the changes; we're the guinea pigs, and frankly, I'm tired of it. I want a break. I want to be able to breathe again, and at this rate, it's not going to happen until the day I graduate. And while that date is getting closer, it isn't justified that they should triple our workload in the scant few weeks we have until then.
But I AM REALLY REALLY REALLY EXCITED ABOUT KENYON! (Just in case you didn't get that the first time)

Anyhow, it's Dinah Lance (the Black Canary) on vacation.
