HURRAH! I know where I'm going to college! There has been much rejoicing over the fact that I will be attending Kenyon College this fall. I had the most wonderful of visits this past week - I found good study places around campus, watched/listened to an a capella rehearsal, talked with Bible Study kids and field hockey girls, took two classes with an AMAZING English professor, found my way around the campus (this is big for someone as directionally challenged as myself), and well, let's put it this way - by dinnertime on the first day, I knew I was meant to go to Kenyon. Notice the title itself is not so woeful as the last time I posted, which means this entry is already off to a good start. :) I've been in contact with two wonderful girls who attend Kenyon - both are Christians, and they both are major heads of the various (yes, various!) Christian organizations. One gal in particular, named Olivia, has really reached out to me, and her encouraging story and words of wisdom have really made me excited about my visit to Kenyon later this month. Well, I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is that I was accepted to every college I applied to - Illinois Wesleyan, Wheaton (IL), St. Olaf, Kenyon, and Davidson (okay, I was waitlisted at Davidson). The bad news is that I was accepted to every college I applied to. IW and Wheaton I have already ruled out, the former because I didn't like it, the latter because it's too close to home. I'm not sure I want to wait around to see if Davidson ends up having space for me, so I'm very torn about how I should respond to the Wait List idea.
